USA: Flächendeckende Fab Lab Versorgung per Gesetz
In den USA hat Bill Foster einen Gesetzesentwurf im Kongress eingebracht, der für eine flächendeckende Versorgung des Landes mit Fab Labs sorgen soll. Pro 700'000 Einwohner soll ein Fab Lab bereit gestellt werden.

Open Sourcing Patentable Know-How
Creative Commons’ Thinh Nguyen invites us to comment on their new patent tools, the Research Non-Assertion Pledge and the Public Patent License. The address to discuss is the public Creative Commons wiki. These two tools are pieces of the underlying infrastructure for how to share and transform publicly available unpatented know-how and patented inventions.
An old truth on Fundraising
Just re-reading Paul Graham of Y Combinator in San Francisco about bootstrapping a business, and fundraising, being the second hardest thing of a start-up. The hardest thing being: making something people want.
Bootstrapping a business would be consulting. And about consulting he says: "It's not as painful as raising money from investors, perhaps, but the pain is spread over a longer period."
